Pastoral Counseling
Faith can be a source of comfort, strength, and meaning. At times, it can also become complicated, especially during grief, illness, loss, trauma, or major life changes.
Pastoral counseling offers space to talk about your emotional life while also honoring the role of faith or spirituality in your healing. This may include questions about meaning, prayer, guilt, forgiveness, grief, or feeling distant from God or your faith community.
My approach is gentle, respectful, and grounded in mental health care. I do not force faith into therapy, but I welcome it when it is important to you.
Pastoral counseling may be helpful if you are:
- grieving the loss of someone you love
- making peace with a diagnosis or serious illness
- struggling with questions of faith or meaning
- carrying guilt, shame, or spiritual pain
- wanting therapy that respects your religious or spiritual life
Therapy can help you feel less alone as you sort through both the emotional and spiritual parts of what you are carrying.
